I borrowed a sander, bought sandpaper, primer, paint, knobs, and poly-urethane to finish it off. My friend Kristi (the re-finishing expert) saw me out working on it and helped a couple of times. It went twice as fast with her expertise and help :) I can't seem to get a good picture of the finished product, so I've included a few to try to give the basic idea. From green, stickers, and marker to a chocolate brown. It's not high quality, but it's perfect for what we need right now. Thanks for the help girls!

Revived Dresser/Change Table
I am surrounded by creative, talented friends. Since we moved to our new apartment about a year ago, I have seen friends re-finish chairs, tables, dressers, and beds. I was walking with my friend Kayla one morning and saw this dresser at a yard sale. In my mind I thought "what a piece of junk"! She looked at it and said "what a great dresser! It would make a nice changing table"! Only then was I able to see its potential :) She declined the chance to re-finish it and so I took the leap and bought it for $10.

Wow, that looks AMAZING! Nice job, it looks like you bought it at a fancy furniture store.
That is perfect! It is beautiful! And for $10. AMAZING! Way to go. I am toying with the idea of refinishing a dresser too, but now that it is so cold outside and our basement is finished I don't know where I'd do it! How long did it take? Spray paint or brush? It is definitely the thing to do right now, eh?
Jules the dresser looks amazing- great job! I love it when I am able to save money like that! Claire is getting so big- crawling?! It seems like just yesterday I found out you were prego:p I can't get over her curls. Also- I so remember when you dressed up as a cow - actually come to think of it I think I did it the very next year when you were on your mission- minus the gloves:P Love and miss ya!
