A Day at the Museum

We love museums -- especially science museums. A couple weeks ago we spent an afternoon at the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry and loved it. We could have spent all day there! Three whole stories of old trains, cars, farm tech, toy making, earth sciences, airplanes, and everything else you could think of. One of the coolest parts of the museum was an actual German U-boat that was captured during WWII. They tell the story of the war in the Pacific and how the boat was actually captured. And then you walk into this room and there it is! Pretty great.

We also loved the Fairy Castle. It was donated by Colleen Moore, a 1920s movie star who collected smaller-than-life antiques and put them in miniature castle that you can walk around and look at. http://www.msichicago.org/whats-here/exhibits/fairycastle/history-of-the-fairy-castle/
